Happy Anniversary!

Our four year anniversary is on August 6, but unfortunately I won't be home to celebrate it with my sweetheart so I thought I would post this early! I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, caring husband. Mike has always been such a great example to me. I am grateful that we are able to spend all eternity together as a family! Mike, I love you and cherish you and look forward to our next year together!

Cookie Monster

Jamison was a great helper while I was making cookies the other day. He insisted on holding his own spoon to put the dough on the sheet. As you can imagine, most of it managed to find a way to his mouth first! Look at where he so carefully decided to place his pacifier.

Jamison loves helping his daddy with projects.
We had a barbeque with our neighbors for the 4th of July.
Jamison had a blast playing in the water!
Later that night we went to our bishop's house for fireworks.

Whenever we are in the car, Jamison wants to hold the sun shade.
This time he fell asleep with it in his mouth!

Random Fun

Yesterday Jamison decided to pick one of our tomatoes off the plant and eat it. I ran and grabbed the camera and a bib. I thought I would video it also, even though nothing exciting happened, it's just been awhile since his grandparents have seen him!

Tomatoes are the only veggie I can get Jamison to eat.

On Saturday we took Jamison to get his first haircut at a children's salon! He got to sit in a fire truck with a bell, watch a movie, and play with a toy while they cut it. He was a little unsure at first and started whining, but then the stylist gave him a sucker and he was fine after that! I can't believe that my baby is getting so old, time goes by way too fast.

I love this picture of Mike and Jamison, it was taken on Father's Day.

Don't Think Out Loud

Today started out as any normal day: breakfast, laundry, checking e-mails, trying to keep Jamison out of the dog food (why is he hungry, he just ate breakfast). I found myself thinking that I never have any crazy stories to tell on my blog like some of my friends do. No bee stings on the face or pigs running down the street with the police chasing them.

Well, as I walked back into the kitchen I was in for a surprise. There was about two inches of water covering the entire kitchen! As I ran to turn off the washer my first thought was "Oh no, my towels haven't gone through the rinse cycle yet, I'm going to have to rinse them by hand." Why am I worried about my towels when my floor has turned into a lake? My next thought was "How am I going to clean up the water when my towels are in the washer?" I ran to the linen closet to find only four towels available. That wouldn't even put a dent in the lake. I decided the only thing I could do was start sweeping the water out the kitchen door. Yes, I did say sweep, the only mop I have is the Swiffer kind which is useless at a time like this. As I was sweeping, Jamison was having the greatest day of his life swimming in the kitchen. After about 45 minutes of sweeping and mopping I finally got the water cleaned up and the washer working.

Through this experience I've learned that I shouldn't think too loud unless I need another exciting post!

Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day weekend we went to Oregon to visit Mom and Dad D. It was so nice to just hang out and relax! Mike and I actually got to take a nap together while Jamison played with Grandma and Grandpa, a first for us! On Monday, Mike helped fix a few things around the house and Jamison tagged along as his little helper. We had a really fun weekend, thanks Mom and Dad!

Jamison kept giving Grandma's doll a kiss!
