Nursery

Sunday was Jamison's first day of Nursery at church! Mike and I walked him up to the room and then I had to leave to go teach Primary. Jamison was screaming and didn't want to go in to play. Mike stayed there with him for the first hour and then snuck out during snacktime. They said that he was fine after that. When I picked him up after church he showed me the picture he drew, he was so proud of it!

All Grown Up

The other night Mike and I were getting things prepared for our ward Christmas party and Jamison was watching a movie on the couch. When I looked over I was completely shocked to find that he had fallen asleep. I'm sure most of you are wondering what the big deal is. Jamison is a very cuddly boy and he has NEVER fallen asleep on his own. He always has to have someone right next to him. My little boy is all grown up!

Park City

When Mike flew back to Utah the three of us went up to Park City to spend some time together. This was our first little vacation that we've had as a family, it was really relaxing and fun. A bunch of our friends came up to visit one night which was great. We hadn't seen some of them in a really long time. We have so many wonderful friends in Utah and wish we could be closer to see them more often. We love you guys!

Fun with Family in Utah

We just returned home after spending three weeks in Utah with family! Mike drove us out there and we attended the temple with my sister, Danica, who just left on her mission. He was able to be there for her farewell before he flew back home for work. Jamison and I helped her finish her last minute shopping and spent some quality time with her before she left. It was so much fun!

Christmas in November

My very thoughtful husband surprised me with an early Christmas present yesterday. He was able to find me a piano without spending a dime! A member in our ward was giving it away and Mike knew that I have always wanted one. Even though I don't know how to play it is a goal of mine to learn and to have my children play. It is beautfiful, just needs to be cleaned up a bit. Right now it's current home is in our entryway until we move to our new home. Everytime Jamison passes by it, he has to play, he loves it! Thanks so much Mike, you're the greatest!

Halloween

Almost Ours

After submitting offers on 10 different homes, we finally got one! We weren't sure if this day would ever come, the market is so competitive here right now. Our inspections have all turned out fine and we are now just waiting to close. We are so excited for this next step in our lives!

On Saturday we took Jamison up to Apple Hill. We had so much fun! Jamison got to pick out a couple of pumpkins, pet the animals at the petting farm, and even ride a pony. He rode like a pro, we were really impressed. Of course when it was time to get off, he was so sad and started crying. He had a great time at the pumpkin patch also. He kept picking up the little ones and bringing them to us to hold and climbed all over the big ones. We bought a couple of really yummy pies, apples, and the best apple cider I've ever had!

Save Marriage and Our Children

The closer election day gets, the more I start thinking about Proposition 8. If it does not pass, public schools are no longer an option for my children. I never thought I would see the day that I would be forced to do something that drastic. I've never even given much thought to homeschool or private school, but now it's heavily on my mind. Watch this video and see what public schools are teaching their children in Massachusetts. This is what will happen here if we don't stand up for marriage between a husband and wife!

Sick

On Saturday we were on our way to the farmer's market when Jamison started throwing up everywhere. I don't think I've ever seen so much come out of him before. Mike pulled the car over and I jumped out to get him out of his carseat. His hoodie, shirt, pants, and carseat were all covered. I started stripping his clothes off of him, which resulted in vomit smeared in his hair. It was a bit chilly that morning so thankfully I had a blanket on hand that I wrapped him in. I sat in the backseat cleaning up his carseat with baby wipes (thank goodness for them). Finally, after getting everything cleaned up the best I could I stuck Jamison back in his seat and we made our way home. Poor little guy. I was grateful that he didn't act sick at all after throwing up. After getting home, giving Jamison a bath, thoroughly cleaning the carseat, and rinsing out his clothes, I turned to Mike and said "It's amazing how easy it is for me to clean up vomit when it's my own kid." If it was anybody else I probably would have been gagging the whole time I was cleaning it up. I'm grateful that Heavenly Father makes us mothers so strong so that we can nurture and take care of our children's needs. I love being a mother and everything that comes with it, even the vomit!

Poor Dogs!

Our poor dogs, Roxy and Ozzie, have been tormented by Jamison lately! He is constantly stealing their toys, chasing them, throwing things at them, and pulling their hair. We're trying to teach him that it's not nice to treat them that way, but he thinks it's hilarious to get a reaction out of them. Here is a video of him stealing one of Ozzie's toys.

Get Ready Virginia!

My younger sister Danica just received her mission call! She will be going to Richmond, Virginia on a spanish speaking mission! I know that she will make a fantastic missionary. Her testimony is so beautiful and touching. I know that the people in Virginia are going to love her. Danica, we are so proud of you and the decision you've made to serve your Heavenly Father. We love you so much!!

Speed Racer

Last weekend we went to the local speedway and Mike got to race with about eight other cars. He has always wanted to drive a racecar, so for Christmas last year I bought him a package to do so. It was so much fun to watch him out there and he drove like a pro! Jamison loved it also. When the cars started racing around the track he started clapping and cheering, it was so cute!

Gibson Ranch

There is a place not far from our house called Gibson Ranch. We went there for the first time today and really enjoyed it. There was a pond with ducks and geese, horses, goats, llamas, chickens, and a pot-belly pig. If you've read my other posts then you already know that Jamison LOVES animals! We took a bag of bread and fed the ducks and geese. Jamison was a little too brave and tried to catch a goose a couple of times. I'm glad that we found a fun place to go that is only five minutes from our home!

Camping In and Out

On Thursday night we decided to all camp out in the living room. We have never tried out our pull out bed on our couch and thought that it would be fun to try it out. We ate ice cream and junk food while watching movies. The fun lasted until about 2 a.m. when we went back to the bedroom because it was so hot and the bed was pretty crowded for the three of us. It still ended up being a lot of fun! On Friday we went to our ward campout. It was about 105 degrees out and I swear I was melting. But despite being hot, Jamison had a blast! He loved spending so much time outdoors and especially loved waking up outdoors. I am still itching the 15 mosquito bites that I got, but we will definitely do it again soon just to see the smile on Jamison's face!

I just liked this picture, so I decided to throw it in!

Danica Comes For a Visit

My sweet sister Danica was able to come out and visit us for a week. I loved having her here! This was probably the last time that she visits for awhile since she is going to be serving a mission for our church soon. We had a great time while she was here, we went to a movie, the Railroad Museum, the State Fair, played games, and spent some late nights just talking. She is such an inspiration to me. She has grown into such a fine woman and I am so proud of her. She has such a beautiful testimony of the gospel and she will make a great missionary! I cried like a baby when she left, maybe because I knew this would be one of the last times I got to spend with her before she leaves. Danica, you are such a wonderful sister and I love you dearly!

Jamison loves his Aunt Danica!

Aunt Danica is so much fun!

Jamison's favorite part of the fair was the petting zoo. He spent forever in there and cried when it was time to leave. He pet every single animal at least a dozen times!

Utah Trip

Jamison and I recently had the opportunity to spend a few weeks with family in Utah. It was so nice to spend some quality time with everyone. We wish Mike could have gone with us, but he had to stay home and work, so we missed him tons! While there I discovered that Jamison is a true cowboy! He loves ALL animals, tractors, 4-wheelers, big trucks, rodeos, fairs, etc. It almost made me sad to come home because he was having so much fun. I'm sure he will always look forward to his visits to Utah in the future, just like I do. Thanks to everyone who made our trip special, we love you!
I wanna be a cowboy! We took Jamison to the Santaquin Rodeo and he had a ball! He couldn't take his eyes off of the animals.

Grandma V's puppy was the perfect size for Jamison to pack around.

Jamison is always giving hugs!
